Our Response to covid 19

March 13, 2020

Dear Youth Members, Volunteers, and Communities we serve,

Just two days ago I wrote to you about the COVID-19 virus (also known as the coronavirus) and how Oasis was responding. Unfortunately, the landscape has changed since then. Governor Jay Inslee has mandated that all schools in Snohomish, King, and Pierce County be closed from Monday, March 16th until April 24th.

As I mentioned in my last email, Oasis takes the safety and health of our members very seriously. To that end, we have made the impossible decision to close our drop-in hours and in-person programming effective Saturday, March 14th until April 24th.
Make no mistake: we are still here to help.

There are no changes to the operation of our 24-hour emergency line, and we will still be available for virtual and in-office appointments.

In the next few days, we will be rolling out digital programming. Programming will include the 35-year stalwart tradition of Check-in, Youth Council, and a modified version of Project-13.

For the latest updates, please connect with us on social media. If you are a member that is interested in participating in digital programming, please reach out to us through phone, email, text, or social media.

Please keep in touch, and we will do the same.

To a healthier future,
Matthew John Wilson
Interim Executive Director
